About Me

Sherene3.png

Hi, my name is Sherene.

When I'm not diving into the world of user experience design, you'll often find me working on my next children’s book, getting crafty with DIY projects, or channeling my inner mermaid in the nearest pool or ocean.

My journey into UX design began in an unexpected place. After spending over a decade in the construction industry, starting as a part-time administrative assistant and gradually working my way up to Office Manager, I realized it was time for a change. I wanted to be intentional about my career and really discover my passion. In 2014, I made the decision to teach English as a second language. This meant it was time to return to school to complete my undergrad degree. I graduated with a BA in Art and minor in Judaic Studies from Brooklyn College and was soon employed as an ESL teacher at an international language school.

Although I enjoyed my time as a teacher, I realized that teaching was not my passion and so, the search continued. That is until, a friend introduced me to UX Design. Here was a career path that combined both my creativity and my natural problem solving skills. And so, in 2016, I embarked on an exhilarating journey into the world of UX design by completing an intensive course through General Assembly.

Upon completion of my course, I began freelancing as a UX Designer. As a worked on a variety of projects, I had the desire to deepen my knowledge and hone my skills. I decided to pursue further education and was accepted into the MPS UX Design Program at the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2020. Today, I am privileged to serve as a User Experience Consultant at Salesforce, where I thrive on creating meaningful and intuitive experiences for users.

As I embark on the next chapter of my career journey, I am excited about the prospect of collaborating with like-minded individuals and organizations to make a positive impact through exceptional user experiences. If you're passionate about leveraging design to solve complex problems and create delightful experiences, I'd love to connect with you.

Let's create something remarkable together!
